Run Injury Free
We are on a mission together. Some want to complete a marathon. Others want to exercise with an enthusiastic group. Whatever the reason, we are training together, with a goal of comlpleting a marathon or half-marathon during the fall of 2010. Our injury-free program, based on a gradual, weekly increase in endurance and strength, converts atheltes of all abilities into life-long runners. One conerstone of our successfull program is alternating runnning with walking. This is a proven method for successful marathoning with the minimal chance of running injury

Ask your program director about his experiences. He started out like many of you by training with the Galloway method and completing a full marathon six months later. He has run for pleasure, guided newcomers through their first marathons, and both qualified and completed the Boston Marathon. The Galloway run-walk method works for all distances and goals.
